Planning is underway for “Sunset at Winslow,” one of the top annual social functions in the Town of Warwick.

The festive but casual dinner and dancing party is open to the entire adult community. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Winslow’s Therapeutic Riding Center and the Warwick Valley Humane Society.

The Saturday, June 16,, event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at Winslow’s indoor arena, just off Route 17A across from Mt. Peter (1433 State Route 17A) in Warwick. See map below for location and directions.

That night some 400 guests will enter the Ruth B. Ottaway Arena, transformed from a therapeutic horse riding rink into a colorful nightclub atmosphere. Attire for the evening will be casual chic with no high heels recommended.

Featured will be dinner catered by award-winning chefs from The Helm Restaurant in Greenwood Lake, dancing to the music of the CloudNYne Band, upscale silent and live auctions and tours of the Winslow facilities.

The co-chairs said their goal for “Sunset at Winslow” is to provide “an enjoyable evening for the entire community while benefiting the wonderful work of Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center, a non-profit organization devoted to the special needs community of the Hudson Valley, and the Warwick Valley Humane Society, a non-profit organization which provides a safe haven for abandoned and abused animals and to finding forever homes for these animals.”

Last year’s “Sunset” attracted 400 guests and raised $86,000 for non-profits.
